Kaplan in Singapore offers a comprehensive suite of student services designed to provide dedicated support for international students pursuing their education here. 

Student Services Overview

Airport Arrival Service

Kaplan in Singapore arranges a complimentary airport/transport pick up service for all our new full-time international students arriving in Singapore for the first time*. Students are required to fill in a transport pick up form and submit 7 days prior to their arrival here.

*Transportation is not provided during public holidays and timings between 11pm – 7am.  
 

Visa Information

All visitors to Singapore must meet the following entry requirements:

  • Valid travel document (minimum validity = 6 months)
  • Onward/Return ticket
  • Entry facilities to next destination
  • Sufficient funds to stay in Singapore
  • Visa for Singapore (if applicable)

If the visitor requires a visa to enter Singapore, please approach the nearest Singapore Embassy/Consulate Office for information on visa application and submission procedures. Alternatively, they can find all services relating to entry and visa requirements online at Singapore's Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) website.

Medical Insurance

Kaplan in Singapore makes available a group medical insurance scheme for all its STP students which has the following minimum coverage:

  • an annual coverage limit of S$30,000 medical costs coverage per student
  • at least B1 ward in government and restructured hospitals
  • 24 hours coverage in Singapore and overseas (if student is involved in school-related activities)

Fee Protection Scheme

Kaplan is comprised of Kaplan Higher Education Academy and Kaplan Higher Education Institute and has in place a Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) to protect the paid fees of both local and international students. The FPS serves to protect the student’s fees in the event that the PEI is unable to continue operations due to insolvency, and/or regulatory closure. In addition, the FPS protects the student if the PEI fails to pay penalties or return fees to the student arising from judgments made against it by the Singapore courts.

The Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) is applicable to ALL students (regardless of nationality and the type of passes or permits ie. Dependent’s Pass, Student’s Pass, Work Permit, etc). It is mandatory for all students to apply for FPS and sign a student contract when they enrol for programmes with any PEI with EduTrust Certification or Enhanced Registration Framework (ERF).

Kaplan has appointed Lonpac Insurance Bhd as our FPS insurance provider. Under the FPS insurance scheme, students’ fees are insured by them. In case of events, as stated above, students will be able to claim their unconsumed fees from Lonpac Insurance Bhd.
