    Graduation & Degree Awarded

    Students who successfully complete and pass the modules stipulated in the programme structure will be awarded the Diploma in Health Services Management from Kaplan Higher Education Academy, Singapore.

    Advanced Diploma and Diploma graduates can progress to pursue Degree programmes offered by our university partners and other higher education institutions from Australia, Ireland and the United Kingdom (relevant disciplines and/or subject to university’s requirements).

    Minimum Class Size

    • Minimum class size: 20 students

      Class may commence with fewer students than indicated above, subject to resource availability. In the event of cancellation, you will be notified at least 1 week before the programme commencement date, stated in your student contract with Kaplan, and our consultants will contact you to advise on a backup plan.

Core Modules

The Diploma programme consists of 8 modules. The following modules are covered in the programme:

  • Business Statistics and Data-Driven Decision Making
  • Healthcare Management and Leadership
  • Healthcare Organisations and Systems
  • Healthcare Strategies and Service Delivery
  • Introduction to Health Systems
  • Principles of Accounting
  • Principles of Management
  • Principles of Project Management

Assessment

Each module is assessed by any combination of continuous assessments, examinations, presentations, projects or written assignments. Assessment methods may vary according to individual module requirements.

 

Delivery Mode

Blended learning, which is a combination of face-to-face teaching and online learning, has been introduced to the Diploma programme to improve your learning experience.

Each Kaplan Diploma programme consists of 8 modules that may be completed in a minimum of 8 months over 4 terms. Each module is timetabled to include face-to-face contact hours and supplemented with online lessons. Materials are made available via real-time online learning and on-demand self-directed learning.

    Academic Requirements
    • Kaplan Foundation Diploma; OR
    • Minimum 1 GCE A-Level pass; OR
    • Other private or foreign qualifications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis (based on the equivalence to the GCE A-Level); OR
    • Mature candidates (30 years old and above, with a minimum of 8 years of work experience)
    English Language Requirements
    • At least C6 in GCE O-Level English or equivalent

      Tuition Fee

      The total tuition fee covers registration, lectures/tutorials/workshops and main assessments such as assignments/tests/examinations/projects (where applicable), programme materials in digital format, Diploma (if earned) and e-transcript.

      Student Development Fee

      *Payment for this fee will be included in the first instalment.

      The Student Development Fee covers the provision of a comprehensive range of initiatives aimed at enhancing the career and industry-readiness of Kaplan students, such as programmes aimed at improving interpersonal skills, technical and digital skills, as well as career advisory and job matching services.       GST

      All fees indicated are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the prevailing rate of 9%. For more information on the GST revision, please refer to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) website. Please refer to the official price list for a detailed breakdown.

      • Invoice generated in 2023

      Scenario 2

      • Invoice generated in 2023
      • Services rendered on or after 1 Jan 2024
      • Payment collected on or after 1 Jan 2024 

      9% GST will apply.

       

      Scenario 3

      • Invoice generated on or after 1 Jan 2024

      9% GST will apply.

      Education Loan

      Choice of flexible repayment schemes available to suit your needs:

      • Standard Repayment: Pay your monthly instalments (principal and interest) once your loan is disbursed.
      • Partial Repayment: Pay partial instalments for up to 3 years or till the end of your programme, whichever is earlier. Standard monthly instalments (principal and interest) will commence thereafter.
      • Interest Servicing: Pay only interest for up to 3 years or till the end of your programme, whichever is earlier. Standard monthly instalments (principal and interest) will commence thereafter.
      • Flexible repayment tenure of up to 8 years.
