This 100% assignment-based Master Degree programme prepares students for leadership roles in the management of engineering and technology-based organisations with curriculum tailored to individual needs.
Graduates will be equipped to take on management responsibilities in engineering and technology-based enterprises and organisations.
As industry plays a vital role in this programme, it is developed, delivered and assessed through membership of the Programme Advisory Committee (PAC) which comprises industry representatives, academic staff and alumni.
During this programme, students will take up specific lessons focus on work-integrated learning (WIL). Students will be assessed on professional work in a workplace setting (real or simulated) and receive feedback from those involved in industry or research. The Masters Research Project involves WIL through an industry-relevant project.

Successful completion of Bachelor Honours Degree (at AQF8 level or equivalent), in engineering or business discipline with minimum GPA 2.0 (out of 4.0).
Successful completion of Bachelor Degree (at AQF7 level or equivalent), in engineering or business discipline with minimum GPA 2.0 (out of 4.0) and with at least two years relevant work experience in engineering or business.
Applicants with GPA less than 2.0, with at least two years’ relevant work experience in engineering or business maybe considered on a case-by-case basis.
In all cases the final admissions decision to the programme rests with the university.
International applicants: A minimum IELTS (Academic module) overall score of 6.5, with no band below 6.0, or equivalent.

Each Trimester Session is a 16-week period covering the required programme of study. Each Trimester Session is consists of 36 hours of seminars, taught by the University’s lecturers with local support.
The Master of Engineering (Management) programme is 100% assignment-based with no examinations.
In addition group and individual projects, in-programme tests, group and individual presentations, reports, quantitative analysis and essays are all used at some point during the programmes.
For all assessments except in-programme tests, students receive detailed feedback from the examiner in a standardised format.
Students who successfully complete and pass the modules stipulated in the course structure will be awarded the Master of Engineering (Management) from RMIT University.
The Degree will be the same as that awarded to on-campus graduates in Australia.
