Structure and Content
The Master of Education (TESOL International) program has been designed for those interested in teaching or already teaching English in overseas settings as a second, foreign or international language.
This program offers a complete range of units covering basic teaching principles thorugh issues in curriculum and assessment to broader socio-cultural concerns regarding the place of English in learners' lives.

Entry Requirement
The Master of Education (TESOL International) program accepts a wide range of qualifications for entry into the program. The normal entry requirements for admission to the program are:
- an approved three-year bachelors degree in a relevant field with a credit average in the final year or an approved fourth year of study; or
- an approved four-year bachelor degree; or
- have qualifications or experience that the faculty considers to be equivalent to, or a satisfactory substitute for the above; and
English language requirements must also be met through one of the following:
At least two years of study(preferably in the last five years) in a university or approved tertiary institution where English is the language of instruction and assessment of the entire institution, and this is verified by the institution,
OR
IELTS (academic) at least 6.5 with at least 6.5 on reading and listening and at least 6.0 on writing and speaking;
OR
Paper-based TOEFL score of at least 580 with a TWE of at least 4.5 or an internet-based score of at least 90 with at least 22 on writing and speaking and 20 on listening and reading.
Delivery Method
The program provides a total of 120 hours of seminars and workshops, or 20 hours per course. Seminars are conducted in Singapore by visiting lecturers from the university.
The curriculum covers 6 terms of 13 weeks each. Classes are generally held in the evenings and over a weekend to suit the busy schedules of program participants.
