Student’s Pass

International students who enroll for Kaplan Financial course packages will enjoy “Green Lane” processing of student pass applications. “Green Lane” means reduced processing time, waiver of security deposit, waiver of interview for PRC students and the student pass will be valid for the full duration of the course.

Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) / Medical Insurance Coverage

Kaplan Financial has put in place requirements which include Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) and Medical Insurance Coverage under the EduTrust Certification Scheme regulated by the Council of Private Education.

FPS (Paid for by Kaplan Learning Institute)

FPS is applicable to ALL students (regardless of nationality and the type of passes, i.e. dependent’s pass, student’s pass, work permit etc). It is mandatory for all students to apply for FPS and sign a student contract when they enroll for courses with any Private Education Institution (PEI) with EduTrust Certification.

International Students – insurance premium minimum of S$8 (excluding 7% GST) capped at total course fee of S$1,455. The FPS premium is based on a fixed rate of the course fees and payable upon enrollment per intake.

Medical Insurance Coverage

It is compulsory for ALL students to have medical insurance coverage for hospitalisation and related medical treatment for the entire course duration. The annual premium for medical insurance is $46.05. Find more information about the Private Education Act here.

English Language
New International students who do not have an IELTS score of 4.5 and above or its equivalent are encouraged to enroll on our 6-month English Language programme, Professional English for Finance (PEF), before you embark on their FIA/ACCA qualification.

Administrative Processes (For international students only) –  Kaplan Learning Institute

The items listed below are covered within the administrative fee (subject to prevailing Goods & Services Tax, GST, of 7%) payable upon the approval of program application by the respective approving institutions. Please refer to the respective course pages for the administrative fee or contact us for more information.

  • Kaplan Student Access Card
  • Student’s Pass application

The Immigration and Checkpoint (ICA) of Singapore requires all foreign students to apply for a Student’s Pass if he/she wishes to pursue full-time studies in Singapore in a EduTrusted private education organization (PEO) that is registered with the Council for Private Education (CPE). An applicant who wishes to take up part-time course or course conducted in the evening or weekend will NOT be eligible for Student’s Pass.

Step 1 – Check the admission requirements

Step 2 – Fill in the application forms and prepare supporting documents

Information on Student’s Pass application and the application forms can be downloaded from the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority website at http://www.ica.gov.sg

Documents to be submitted for Student’s Pass application:

  • Completed Student’s Pass application forms: Form 16 and V36
  • Certified/notarized copy of birth certificate, highest academic qualification, highest academic transcripts, and bank statement/fixed deposit account/saving account.
  • Employer’s letter certifying applicant’s occupation and salary (if applicable)
  • Employer’s letter certifying parents’ occupation and salary (if applicable)
  • 1 passport-sized photograph of the applicant (white background)

Step 3 – Send us your application form and supporting documents

Please send the duly completed application forms and supporting documents. Payment of application fees can be made through Cash/NETS/Debit or Credit (Master/Visa Card/Bank Draft/Cheque/Telegraphic Transfer).

Step 4 – Accepting Your Offer / Student Pass Approval

A letter of offer will be issued once you have been accepted into Kaplan Financial. The letter of offer will state the course details and fee structure. We will process the Student’s Pass application upon the acceptance of the offer. Processing of student pass by ICA takes 2 – 3 weeks before results are released.

Step 5 – Collecting Your Student’s Pass
