How to apply

Considerable care is taken by the university and the school in the selection of students. Normally the university takes about 4 weeks to process each application. Therefore, it is advisable for students to apply for admission at least 8 weeks before the start of each programme / intake.

Documents required for programme application:

  • Duly completed application form
  • Copy of highest academic qualification and highest academic transcripts
  • Photocopy of passport/NRIC
  • Latest CV (if applicable for Masters degree application)
  • 1 passport-sized photograph of the applicant
  • Program application fee

Administrative processes (For international students only)

The items listed below are covered within the administrative fee (subject to prevailing Goods & Services Tax, GST, of 7%) payable upon the approval of programme application by the respective approving institutions.   • Student’s Pass application

The Immigration and Checkpoint (ICA) of Singapore requires all foreign students to hold a valid Student Pass for their full time study in Singapore. An applicant who wishes to take up part time programme or programme conducted in the evening or weekend will NOT be eligible for Student's Pass.In order to protect the interest of foreign students, regulatory body CASE requires all program fees be remitted or paid into an approved escrow bank account in Singapore or be covered by a student protection insurance scheme (premium payable by students).

Documents to be submitted for Student’s Pass application:

  • Completed Student’s Pass application forms: Form 16 and V36
  • Certified/notarized copy of birth certificate, highest academic qualification, highest academic transcripts, and bank statement/fixed deposit account/saving account.
  • Employer's letter certifying applicant's occupation and salary (if applicable)
  • Employer's letter certifying parents' occupation and salary (if applicable)
  • 1 passport-sized photograph of the applicant (white background)

Fee Protection Scheme and Medical Insurance

Kaplan Higher Education Academy has in place some mandatory requirements which include Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) and Medical Insurance Coverage under the EduTrust Certification Scheme regulated by the Council of Private Education, by way of insurance coverage for all full time and part time students.

The Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) is applicable to ALL students (regardless of nationality and the type of passes, i.e. dependent's pass, student's pass, work permit etc). It is mandatory for all students to apply for FPS and sign a student contract when they enroll for programmes with any Private Education Institution (PEI) with EduTrust Certification.

Kaplan Higher Education Academy has appointed Lonpac Isurance BHD to be FPS provider for all students. After the student sign the student contract and pay the programme fee, the student will receive FPS insurance certificate via email within 3 working days. The insurance premium will be 0.725% of insured programme fees or a minimum amount of S$25, subject to 7% of GST.

It is compulsory for ALL international students to have medical insurance coverage for hospitalisation, outpatient and related medical treatment for the entire programme duration. AXA Insurance Singapore Pte Ltd has been appointed as the insurance provider. For outpatient treatment, there will be $5 co-payment borne by students. There are exemptions for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents if they are covered by their own medical insurance plan.
