Esther Thng
CFA, BA, FRM, M.SOC.SCI (Applied Economics)
Esther is a CFA charterholder and a member of Singapore Society of Financial Analysts. She graduated with honours and holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the National University of Singapore. She also holds a Masters of Social Sciences (Applied Economics) from the National University of Singapore and was awarded the Lim Chong Yah gold medal for her excellent academic performance by the same University. She has extensive experience working in the financial sector in the areas of research, investment valuation, financial analysis and forecasting. Esther has been a full-time lecturer with Kaplan Financial since 2000. Esther is well-liked by her students and is known for her ability to translate difficult and complex concepts into easy to understand terms. She also lectures on Kaplan Financial’s corporate finance courses to both local and overseas clients. Her corporate clients include statutory bodies and well-known financial institutions.
Ng Lye Heng
CFA, CAIA, FRM, B.Bus., MSc. (Applied Economics)
Lye Heng is a CFA charterholder and a member of Singapore Society of Financial Analysts. He holds a Bachelor of Business from Nanyang Technological University and a Masters of Social Sciences (Applied Economics) from the National University of Singapore. Lye Heng is an authority in the areas of Financial Derivatives Trading, Risk Managing and Product Structuring. He has served as Principal Derivative Trader and Risk Manager for various international banks. Over the years, Lye Heng has also trained extensively in Singapore and overseas. He has trained CFA® and CFP® candidates for the past 8 years.
Ng Mei Yen
CFA, CPA
Mei Yen has over 12 years of audit and regional finance and controlling experience, of which 6.5 years are within an asset management company, and 2 years are in banks. Her expertise is in the areas of financial planning and budgeting, strategic planning, developing and implementing new initiatives.
Mei Yen graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a Second Class (Upper) Honours in Accoountancy. Being intrigued by finance and numbers, she obtained her CFA and CPA in 2000 and 2001 respectively.
Ramesh Shahdadpuri
CAIA, FRM
Ramesh graduated from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in USA with a Bachelor of Science (Honours - Magna Cum Laude), majoring in International Finance and Decision Science. He started his professional career with Stern Stewart & Company, a corporate finance consulting firm in New York, USA. He was also with Goldman Sachs & Company in New York, USA in the Fixed Income Division.
He is a Senior Lecturer at Nanyang Polytechnic – School of Business Management. His specialisation is in Banking & Finance, where he has been engaged with the financial industry to develop and deliver academic and FICS-compliant executive courses in Alternative Investments, Fund Administration and Risk Management. He also handles subjects related to Economics and International Business.
Ramesh holds the professional qualifications of Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and Financial Risk Manager (FRM). He is a member of CAIA Association, Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) and Singapore Fund Administrators Association.

Johnny Tan
Listed in Marquis Who’s Who since 1996 and World Financial Industry Who’s Who since 1998, Johnny is a highly rated trainer in Singapore and around the region. He was previously teaching part-time with Nanyang Technological University and held a Senior Consultant/Trainer role with Citibank Asia Pacific Banking Institute. He currently runs his own consultancy training business with a base in Singapore and Malaysia. Prior to setting up his own company, Johnny was formerly Vice President at a major investment bank and has been in the banking industry for more than a decade involved primarily in corporate lending activities.
Johnny holds a Masters in Applied Finance, and several professional qualifications and memberships which include the Certified Management Consultant (CMC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Risk Professional (CRP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Fellow Member of International Professional Managers Association (FPMA), Fellow Member of Australasian Institute of Banking and Finance (FAIBF) and Full Member of Singapore Institute of Directors (MSID).
Lee Heok Seng
Heok Seng has accumulated over 20 years experience in the banking industry, holding various positions in bilateral facilities, syndication, trade finance and treasury products. He has also experienced first hand involvement in loan recovery, during his position as the Head of Risk Control, managing the whole credit process at the bank. His last position held was Managing Director & Board Member of a domestic Indonesian bank where he was an active contributor in charting strategic directions for the bank and also supervised the implementation of Basel II. Heok Seng holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from National University of Singapore.
Lee Soon Juay
Soon Juay has over 25 years experience in the banking industry and has held senior positions with major banks like OCBC, BHF-Bank, Banque Nationale de Paris and Phillip Securities Pte Ltd before becoming an independent training consultant. Soon Juay holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Singapore and his last position held was Head of Training with the Group Risk Management with a major bank. His role included developing, implementing and delivering credit training and education strategy to assist the business in achieving its strategic objectives. He was also involved in various ad hoc projects such as portfolio reviews, case studies from non-performing loans and industry outlook studies.
