Student Pass

International students who enroll for Kaplan Financial course packages will enjoy “Green Lane” processing of student pass applications. “Green Lane” means reduced processing time, waiver of security deposit, waiver of interview for PRC students and the student pass will be valid for the full duration of the course.



Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) / Medical Insurance Coverage

Kaplan Financial has put in place some mandatory requirements which include Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) and Medical Insurance Coverage under the EduTrust Certification Scheme regulated by the Council of Private Education, by way of insurance coverage for all full-time and part-time students


FPS

FPS is applicable to ALL students (regardless of nationality and the type of passes, i.e. dependent’s pass, student’s pass, work permit etc). It is mandatory for all students to apply for FPS and sign a student contract when they enroll for courses with any Private Education Institution (PEI) with EduTrust Certification.


International Students - insured course fees of S$25
(inclusive of 7% GST), payable upon every enrolment per semester, capped at total course fee of S$3,445.
Medical Insurance Coverage

It is compulsory for ALL students to have medical insurance coverage for hospitalization and related medical treatment for the entire course duration. There are exemptions for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents if they are covered by their own medical insurance plan. However, if local students wish to opt in for medical insurance, their Insurance Premium will be $48.15 (inclusive of 7% GST).

CAT Course Materials

All students will receive specially prepared lecture notes, Kaplan Publishing Study Text, Exam Kit and Pocket Notes. All courses include revision classes. (Note: Paper 9 students will receive Kaplan Financial Study Text and Exam Kit.)



Credit System
Students who withdraw from any class in July 2010 intake following the release of the June 2010 exam results will be issued with a 50% credit note of the net course fees paid. The qualifying period during which the credit note will be issued starts from 23 August to 1 September 2010. The credit note will expire on 18 December 2010 and may be used against course fees paid for August 2010 intake, November 2010 revision and January 2011 intake.

English Language

New International students who do not have an IELTS score of 4.0 and above or its equivalent are required to take an English proficiency test. If your score is below 4.0, you are encouraged to enroll on our 5-month English Language programme – Professional Accountancy Language Programme (PALP), before you embark on the CAT qualification. Tuition Package Discount

New International students are required to sign up for the CAT programme by package which includes tuition and revision classes for 9 papers. Under the package scheme, new students must enroll for 5 papers upon registration where Paper T1 & T2 will start in August 2010 intake (S$325 per paper) whilst Paper T3, T4 (S$400 per paper) & Paper T5 (S$480) will only commence in January 2011 intake. For the remaining 4 papers in the Advanced level, students will enroll in the July 2011 intake. However, if you have exemption for certain papers, you must enroll at least a minimum of 3 papers per intake. Course fees are payable prior to the commencement of a new intake.


All new and continuing international students will enjoy 10% package discount (minimum 3 papers) before 28 August 2010 based on the tuition course fees stated.
