  • Overview

  • About the Programme

In the Bachelor of Engineering (Advanced Manufacturing and Mechatronics) (Honours) (Top-up) Degree programme, you’ll learn about advanced materials, automated systems, mechatronics, robotics, and the simulation and modelling of manufacturing processes.

As automation has been widely adopted to increase productivity and reduce waste in various industry sectors, engineers with experience in robotics and mechatronics will be highly sought after. This Degree programme will prepare you to work in a wide range of industries, and as a graduate, you will demonstrate skills across design and creativity, engineering, mathematics and mechatronics. You will also be able to communicate your ideas to others and continue to learn as a professional engineer.

Your studies will include areas such as advanced materials, computer programming, electrical and electronic system design, machine intelligence and robotics. The emphasis is placed on the need to view a manufacturing system as being made up of information, machines and people.

For a complete industry-relevant experience*, students will get to spend time at the RMIT University campus in Melbourne, Australia, to gain hands-on experience. Students will also have access to a wide range of state-of-the-art laboratory facilities at the campus linked to the programme, such as the Advanced Manufacturing Precinct. Furthermore, students will benefit from field trips to RMIT’s industry partners^.

*Students will be responsible for covering the cost of their own travel and accommodation expenses for the  residential visit to RMIT Melbourne.
    ^Subject to availability.

    Graduation & Degree Awarded

Students who successfully complete and pass the modules stipulated in the programme structure will be awarded the Bachelor of Engineering (Advanced Manufacturing and Mechatronics) (Honours) from RMIT University, Australia.

The Degree will be the same as that awarded to the on-campus graduates in Australia.
