"I came to Singapore as it is known to be an education centre in the region. I liked the choices of majors offered at Kaplan Singapore and the reputation of UCD which is why I chose to study here. The teaching quality is impressive. The lecturers have professional skills and knowledge, and they hold creative classes while still imparting information. While learning about economics, I have been given a picture of the global economy's external environment, which has helped me to understand the business world better. Human Resources and Operations Management classes taught me about company structures, environments and processes.

I found most of the assignments challenging and it provided the right balance between research, group work and examinations, as weird as this may be, I actually enjoyed writing papers. I recently got a job at Google doing exactly what I want to do at this point in my career and I would credit my MSc as being a critical component in my profile. My biggest take away from my UCD degree goes beyond concepts learned in the classroom but the valuable business insights gained through interaction with lecturers and fellow classmates. It was more about the overall experience of being put through a top-notch holistic education from a reputed university. This degree has indeed prepared me well for the competitive world.

I took up the International Business pathway as the idea of being an IB specialist appealed to me. I chose Royal Holloway, University of London, as it is a reputable university that I can trust.
The international business program extensively covers the area of business concepts, ranging from Asian, European to American Business. Concepts such as Supply and demand, geopolitical factors and various points of analysis that have a strong bearing on strategic decisions are discussed in detail in the course. In addition, the lecturers from RHUL, who are experts in their fields are able to engage the students effectively by sharing their experiences and foster critical thinking.

Kaplan has helped me in countless ways. The enriching lectures given by their world-class lecturers, a first-class educational facility and an excellent and supportive staff in helping out with all the administration matters.
These achievements awarded to me (1st placing in Singapore for P5, F5, and F6, 2nd placing in Singapore for P1, P2, P3, and Certificate of Achievement for F2 and F3), was simply impossible to achieve if not for the tremendous support.
Daniel Fernandez, Credit Control Officer, Global Information Services Company, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Business with International Management
I didn't like being forced to remember concepts and to apply them in just two hours for the examination. The Northumbria degree is mostly assignment-based which allowed me to spend more time doing research and perfecting my work rather than cramming it all just for one major examination. The course has influenced me positively and I graduated with 1st class honours. With my stellar academic credentials, I've proven to all, including myself, that I can do it with the right programme support and environment that allow me to shine.
Anwar Bin Muhamad Saleh, Constituency Manager, Government Sector, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Mass Communication with Public Relations
Northumbria's degree was the right fit for me. The lessons are incredibly engaging and fun. I have learnt so much from my lecturers who brought a great wealth of knowledge and experience to the mass communication subjects. I especially appreciate that my lecturers are professionals in the own fields, in fact, one of them was a former journalist with over 10 years of experience.
Effie, Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Finance, University College Dublin
"I came to Singapore to study as it is safe, and my parents believe that Singapore is the best choice for me. It is also near my country, so my parents can come here anytime they like.
While I did consider other private institutions initially, I came to Kaplan Singapore as I feel it offers more specialised programmes. Kaplan's programmes are more focused on relevant subjects, and also save us a lot of time. For example, I received my Diploma in Banking, Securities and Investment Management from KHEA before going on to my degree. The diploma modules were tough and not easy to pass - my classmates and I needed to work hard. But my friend who is already working said that the diploma programme was useful as it is accredited by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, a well-known professional body in the United Kingdom.
Having secured my diploma, I am now completing my Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University College Dublin (UCD). I made the decision to continue my studies at Kaplan Singapore as I knew UCD is recognised and the quality of education is high. The lecturers are professional and supportive, and while some may be tougher than others, all of them teach us with the ultimate aim of getting us to pass our subjects and do well. Thanks to my Kaplan experience, I have learnt many things I did not know previously. I hope to get good grades, as I would like to work in an international bank in Singapore after graduation."
Oliver Ong Baoshun, Public Sector, BBSc (Hons) in Management with Marketing Graduate

Carmen Chan, Finance Officer, University of Portsmouth BA (Hons) Accountancy & Financial Management Class of 2015, Part-Time
I chose this degree programme because its duration, class schedule and the modules are most suitable for me. One key reason was its conditional exemptions from ACCA for F1 to F9 papers. In fact, I plan to take up the ACCA professional papers after I graduate. I would also expect salary adjustment of around 20-30%.
Yuichi Tsuruma, Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) (Honours), Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology
The degree gives you exposure to practical hands-on learning and incorporates employment-related skills. I’ve also been heavily involved in the RMIT Racing team. We get to design and produce a Formula 1 prototype while learning project management, manufacturing, technical and professional skills. Being part of the team has also given me exposure to industry-standard software such as CATIA, a 3D design software. I have recently started working at Ford as a Durability Engineer.
May, Bachelor of Commerce in Hospitality and Tourism Management and Management (Double Major), Murdoch University
"After finishing high school in Yangon, Myanmar, I had plans to study in Singapore, as it is a developed country near my home. My sister had completed a master degree programme at Kaplan Singapore earlier, and I decided to enrol as well because Kaplan is a well-known institution and I wanted to strengthen my chances of getting a good job in Singapore. In addition, there are many fellow Burmese studying in Kaplan Singapore - I have two Burmese friends in my class alone.
Overall, I enjoy the Kaplan environment and facilities. I find the lecturers generally professional and supportive, and the class sizes are small enough that they don't feel crowded. My program manager is also quite helpful. I will never forget all the funny moments with my classmates I've experienced during my studies at Kaplan Higher Education Academy, and I will be sure to share them with my friends back home when I return."

At Kaplan Singapore, the program managers are always ready to help and offer prompt responses, while the lecturers are very supportive and encouraging. The flexibility of this programme allows working adults to manage their studies at their own pace. The university’s teaching faculty is highly passionate about their fields, and extremely patient in guiding us to think critically through interactive class discussions. As modern businesses are very mobile and globalised, the need to better understand the interplay between these international organisations becomes paramount, thus making the modules highly applicable to the real world. Having to deal with multi-national organisations at work, the programme has enabled me to better appreciate the strategies and practices of different organisations. Most importantly, it has been a tremendous learning experience through interacting with classmates from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Pung Wei Dong Jozua - ACCA F4 1st in Singapore
A BIG THANK YOU to Kaplan for their fantastic lecturers especially, Mr Dennis Sim (F4) and their 'Must Have' study materials. F4 - Law, may seem challenging, I did not expect to top the paper at all. However these are a few pointers for F4 to make scoring the paper possible:
1) Listen in class and take down the lecturer's alternative explanations.
2) From Kaplan textbooks, lecture notes and exam kit, make your own mind maps, notes etc. Whatever that helps! (My mind map was 2m x 2m on my room's wall).
3) Do the exam kit MORE than ONCE (I did it about 20-30 times). I believe that with the amount of support Kaplan offers every student can achieve excellence.
