All students entering the course will do so with advanced standing. To be eligible for admission students must hold a graded Diploma of Children’s Services (or equivalent) awarded by an Australia registered training organization (i.e. TAFE or private provider) or other qualifications and experience deemed by the faculty to be equivalent to or a satisfactory substitute for the above.

All applicants must demonstrate that they meet the English Language Proficiency requirements outlined here.



Delivery Method

Each term is a 3-month period covering 2 courses of study. Each course is provided with 20 hours of academic seminars/workshop sessions (5 consecutive sessions of 4 hours each) after office hours in the evening and/or over weekends/public holidays.

Assessment Methods

Each unit is assessed by any combination of class participation, written assignments, project or examinations. Assessment method may vary according to individual Unit requirements.

There are 19 successful intakes. Students who successfully complete the programme will be awarded the prestigious Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies Degree of Monash University. Graduates will be allowed to use the title BECSt (Monash) after their name. The degree will be the same as that granted to on-campus students of the university.



Tuition Fees

The tuition fee covers university registration, study guides, textbooks, intensive seminars and workshops, assignments, examination (if applicable), projects, degree (if earned) and transcript.

Tuition fees:

  • SGD 29,291.25 (12 units, subject exemption is available and will be assessed by Monash University)
  • SGD 34,173.13 (14 units)


Non-tuition fees

Non-refundable application fees are as follows:

  • Application fee: SGD 181.90 (with effect from 1 July)
