The programme may be completed in 12 months. It prepares candidates for the GCE O-Level examinations with intensive lessons and assessments on a regular basis. It follows the syllabus stipulated by the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB).
You may choose any of the following modules:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Additional Mathematics
- Science (Physics/Chemistry)
- Principles of Accounts
- Chinese
Your intended education pathway and progression must be taken into account when making your module selection as different progressions would require different number of modules and combinations.
A 24-month programme is also available for international students. Student pass holders are required to study at least 3 modules including English.
For Singaporean / PR
- 15 years old as of 1st Jan of the year of GCE O-Level examinations
- Completion of Secondary 3 or equivalent
- Applicants who did not obtain a pass in English are required to complete Kaplan’s English Placement Test or equivalent
For International Students
- 15 years old as of 1st Jan of the year of the GCE O-Level examinations
- Completion of Secondary 3, Year 9 or equivalent
- Language Proficiency: IELTS 5.5 or pass Kaplan’s O-Level English Placement Test or complete Kaplan’s PBEP Level 5 or equivalent.
- Lectures, tutorials, discussions, term tests, mid-year exams, and preliminary exams.
- The lessons are held in classrooms. Students will learn about the content of selected subjects according to the syllabi set by Ministry of Education in preparation for the Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level examinations.
- Students enrolled for this course will sit for the examination as a private candidate. Depending on whether the student wants to apply for admission to polytechnics, junior colleges (for A-Level) in Singapore or pursue tertiary education at Kaplan, students need to do 5 or 6 subjects respectively.

- Students who complete the course (with the required 90% attendance) will receive a Certificate of Attendance from Kaplan Higher Education Academy.
- Students who sit for the final external examination and obtain at least a Grade 6 or better in one or more subjects will receive a Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) from SEAB (Singapore Assessment and Examination Board).
- The Singapore-Cambridge General Certification of Education Ordinary Level is awarded by Singapore Ministry of Education and University of Cambridge International Examinations.

The Student Development Fee covers the provision of a comprehensive range of initiatives aimed at enhancing the career and industry-readiness of Kaplan students, such as programmes aimed at improving interpersonal skills, technical and digital skills, as well as career advisory and job matching services. International Students
- Non-Refundable Application Fee: S$492.20
- Administration Fee: S$963 (includes application for Kaplan Student Access Card, Student’s Pass, Fee Protection Scheme and Medical Insurance)
All fees indicated are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the prevailing rate. The prevailing GST rate until 31 December 2022 is 7%. From 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023, the GST rate will increase to 8%. From 1 January 2024, the GST rate will increase to 9%. Education Loan
Choice of flexible repayment schemes available to suit your needs.
- Standard Repayment: Pay your monthly instalments (principal and interest) once your loan is disbursed.
- Partial Repayment: Pay partial instalments for up to 3 years or till the end of your programme, whichever is earlier. Standard monthly instalments (principal and interest) will commence thereafter.
- Interest Servicing: Pay only interest for up to 3 years or till the end of your programme, whichever is earlier. Standard monthly instalments (principal and interest) will commence thereafter.
- Flexible repayment tenure of up to 8 years.
