Student Clubs and Student Executive Committee (SEC)

Providing a community for students to be nurtured and supported is essential. While students continue their academic journeys, they actively participate in community development and peer-to-peer events. At SEA, there are various interest clubs that students can choose to participate in. There are also international community clubs that allow students to remain connected with their peers of their nationalities. To find out more about the student clubs, click here

The Student Executive Committee (SEC) comprises student leaders trained and mentored by other student leaders in planning and organisation roles within the various student clubs. The student club members showcase their club’s objectives at the event and invite new members to sign on physically at the Campus Life Day.

Competitions

SEA supports students who participate in competitions. Skills acquired through competitions will help students develop further key employability skills such as effectiveness, teamwork, communication and problem-solving.

Kaplan Student Leadership Programme (KSLP)

At KHEA, we are committed to equipping students with essential leadership skills to prepare them for future roles. The Kaplan Student Leadership Programme (KSLP) is a 6-month developmental programme designed to cultivate key leadership competencies, including strategic thinking, decision-making, communication, and team management.

Through structured training and hands-on experiences, student leaders will enhance their leadership capabilities while building confidence and resilience. To be eligible, SEC members, club representatives, and interested students must have a minimum of 6 months remaining with KHEA from the registration date to graduation.

The programme focuses on three core areas of leadership development:

  • Skill-Building Workshops – Interactive sessions designed to develop critical leadership skills such as problem-solving, conflict resolution, and effective communication.
  • Practical Exposure – Real-world opportunities to apply leadership skills through organizing events for example that promotes Corporate Social Responsibility and engaging in the Kaplan Industry Project.
  • Leadership Camp – An immersive experience that strengthens teamwork, adaptability, and decision-making in dynamic settings.

Throughout the programme, the SEA team provides mentorship and guidance to support students in their leadership journey. Participants who complete all three components will receive a certificate of completion, recognising their growth and achievement in leadership development.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Experience

As part of SEA's efforts to support and encourage students to be socially responsible, The H.E.R.O. (Help Everyone and Reach Out) Club has been established to engage KHEA staff and students to participate in community services through volunteering, with the common aim of making a difference in the lives of others. These initiatives are also extended to our alumni.
