Dr. Martin Grünert
Dean (Academic Administration & Governance)

 

During his time in Singapore, Dr. Martin Grünert spent over 10 years in biomedical and translational research with various institutions within the Agency for Science Technology and Research (A*STAR). During his time in research, Dr. Grünert pursued his passion for education by teaching as an adjunct lecturer with the University of Western Australia’s undergraduate bioscience programmes. He subsequently held academic leadership positions at private education institutions in Singapore before joining Kaplan (Singapore) in April 2022.

As part of his appointment as Dean, Academic Administration & Governance at Kaplan (Singapore), Dr. Grünert oversees Academic Administration & Curriculum, eLearning & Development, and Lecturer Management.

He also is a member of Kaplan (Singapore)’s Academic Board and the Examination Board. Dr. Grünert also has experience in working on SkillsFuture Singapore’s EduTrust certification for private education institutions in Singapore.

Dr. Grünert completed his undergraduate honours degree in Molecular Genetics and Developmental Biology in 2003, and thereafter a PhD in Biomedical Sciences in 2008 - both from the University of Queensland, Australia.
