I decided to study at Northumbria University as they offered a programme that was relevant to my job and interests. The subjects covered are holistic, ranging from Human Resource Management, Digital Business, and Logistics and Supply Chain Management. On top of that, Northumbria University is a recognised institution and I am delighted to achieve an Honours Degree.

Almost all of the modules are applicable and relevant to my current job and industry, where I work with various stakeholders to achieve my KPIs. They also impart qualities and provide training on becoming a manager who can lead projects and resolve select situations.

Most of the modules test students on case-study assignments, exposing them to current market sentiment. On top of a relatable curriculum, the programme made me think out of the box such that I can contribute to benefit my company.

I would recommend Northumbria University as it rewards commitment with great success.

I sought to add to my professional achievements academically and decided that a Northumbria University Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration Degree would be a good choice. My career as a Human Resources Practitioner requires me to be multifaceted in my role and the programme’s modules help to support my soft skills when managing those different facets.

The curriculum included a wide spectrum of relevant academic topics and subject matters, which allowed me to acquire a deeper understanding of them aside from Human Resources. The diverse array of modules also catered to my personal and professional interests.

With a rigorous study mode that required in-depth analysis of different case studies, conceptualising ideas and applying appropriate frameworks to them made for an extremely fruitful learning journey for me.

I would highly recommend this programme for anyone looking to improve their skills, as I have definitely benefitted in my course of learning.

The emphasis on assignment-based learning by Northumbria University has allowed me to apply research of real-life examples towards my work, understand the pain points, and practice more in-depth and practical learning instead of purely theoretical learning. This helps to paint a better picture for the theories that I have learnt.

The modules were relevant to the actual situations and dynamics of the supply chain industry, especially in this rapidly changing era where the dynamics of geopolitical uncertainty in the advancing technological world has increased the industry’s complexity. The programme encourages collaboration between students over individual action.

Campus life started off stressful for me at first, but it got better after a while. With 4 semesters and 2 modules running concurrently, this has helped me with mastering my time management skills. Our lecturers were helpful and passionate about sharing their knowledge with us and delivered their classes with a good dose of humour.

I would definitely recommend this programme as Northumbria University is a reputable school with accredited programmes that are recognised globally, and I feel my time here was well-spent.

Northumbria University was my top choice because of the Degree programme’s industry relevance – learning the essentials of business strategy and management, as well as understanding how supply chain processes can be optimised, adds value to my current role as a continuous improvement lead.

As a leader, I can deliver better results for my organisation through the Japanese concept of kaizen, or continuous improvement, and the application of lean management. The effectiveness of my training programme has also improved with my new wealth of knowledge.

Another reason for my choice is due to its location – the University is in central Singapore, which made it optimal for my part-time study efforts. The overall travel time was not excessive.

Being a customer-centric professional and having a passion for the logistics industry, I chose to study for a Business with Logistics and Supply Chain Management Degree.

My work in the oil and gas industry is very demanding, which means I often work long hours. During class hours, I had to leave the classroom to answer calls from clients and calls about work operations. Having to do this while the class was in session was not easy as it meant missing a fair bit of what the professor was teaching. However, the programme’s assignment-based curriculum, comprising self-paced research and project work, enabled me to get through this period of struggle and learn more effectively. Despite the difficult circumstances, I eventually completed my programme with Second Class (Upper) Honours.

On the whole, the programme has taught me several important lessons, including the need to collaborate well with clients so as to nurture better working relationships. The knowledge and skills that I acquired through the programme have helped me to build a strong rapport with my clients and established a more credible and trusting relationship with them.

I chose to study for my Bachelor’s Degree at Northumbria University because of the programme curriculum and its flexible schedule. Even while having to juggle between studying, a demanding full-time job, and supervising my child’s studies, I managed to complete it with First Class Honours.

Upon graduation, I was promoted to consultant, tasked with handling global portfolios, and received a significant increase in salary. Additionally, my company has agreed to sponsor my upcoming MBA Degree programme, where I have been accepted by another overseas university using my current qualification.

I would certainly recommend Northumbria University to others. It has maximised my post-college and career opportunities, allowing me to have a better grasp of my future.

My first choice was Northumbria University as it is one of the largest universities in the UK, and its programme structure was suitable for me as a working professional. The subjects offered in the Business with Logistics and Supply Chain Management Degree programme were diverse in scope and relevant to my current job in the Service industry.

While pursing my Degree, I had just started a completely new job after working for more than twenty years in the military. However, I succeeded in balancing the challenges of my new job and coping with lectures and assignments at the same time, which eventually led to me graduating with First Class Honours.

I would recommend my University to others as it is a widely recognised University with a good track record and the curriculum offered is relevant to today’s industry context. The lecturers are specialists in their own fields and are always willing to share their wisdom.

As Northumbria University specialises in business management, I felt it would be beneficial to take up a programme with them for my career development. The modules were helpful, especially the Strategic Management and Leadership module which contained multiple case studies and team activities. It also required students to have good communication skills alongside data gathering and analysis capabilities.

Given the assignment-based nature of the programme, lecturers explained the module before we proceed with our research work. Classes were also made enjoyable by lecturers with a good sense of humour, and my friendly course mates who supported one another.

I would highly recommend Northumbria University if you are interested in upgrading your skills or looking to improve on your career prospects, especially since you can finish the programme in 16 months.
