  • About the Programme

An education grant of S$2,180 is available to local applicants for the 2024 intakes of this programme. Please contact our Programme Consultant for more information.

Studying the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) (Top-up) (LLB) Degree programme with BCU provides you with a sound understanding of a broad range of law including areas of legal practice in Singapore and essential areas of English law. The Degree contains all foundational areas of English law as formerly recognised by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority and Bar Standards Board in England and Wales. As a University that has offered legal education for over 40 years, BCU is proud of its international reputation for clinical legal education. This passion for clinical legal learning has been mirrored at Kaplan in Singapore, where students have the opportunity to learn and demonstrate practical legal skills in its own moot court.

The LLB is rigorous and actively encourages you to think about the impact of Law and the role it plays today.

Whilst studying it, you will develop a range of academic and transferable skills, and enhance your interpersonal credentials at the same time. During your academic journey through the LLB, you will develop and refine key employability skills to enhance your employability profile. The programme content is specifically adapted for Singapore with modules such as Commercial Law, Legal Project Management and Regulatory Compliance in Singapore.

If you intend to practise outside the UK, you should contact the local Law Society or Bar Council. The majority will require you to undertake additional training after graduating from our LLB Degree programme before being authorised to practise law.

    Graduation & Degree Awarded

Students who successfully complete and pass the modules stipulated in the programme structure will be awarded the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Birmingham City University, United Kingdom.
