Desmond Lee Choon Ing
Lecturer
Desmond is a multi-faceted professional with many years of experience in both foundation and higher education. He specialises in teaching qualitative research methods and has extensive teaching experience in Mathematics and Business modules such as Statistics and Organisational Behaviour.
Desmond is a passionate lecturer in the education and training industry, particularly in the areas of foundation education, where innovative pedagogical practices are adopted to engage learners and allow the transfer of knowledge and skills to take place in an interesting and interactive manner.
With over two decades of experience working with students and adults from diverse backgrounds and organisations, Desmond is currently in charge of the Foundation Mathematics and Organisations in Global Context for the Kaplan Foundation Diploma. Desmond’s commitment to academic rigour is underscored by his continuous involvement in teaching undergraduate and graduate students and providing career counselling. In addition, he contributes his expertise to several academic committees, including the Academic Intervention Board, Curriculum Development Review Committee, Teaching and Learning Committee, and Examination Board at Kaplan Higher Education Academy.
