Overview

If you love the idea of working overseas or within the local tourism sphere, a Degree in Tourism and Events could take you almost anywhere in the world. This unique major gives you the opportunity to study tourism with a focus on sustainability. You will explore policy issues relating to tourism and events, as well as the planning and management of sustainably coordinated events and festivals.

You will enter the workforce with knowledge of the wider tourism system and policy issues relating to tourism and events, and a better understanding of the nature of socio-cultural, environmental, and economic impacts of tourism and events.

2Based on full-time and part-time study modes across programmes offered at Kaplan in Singapore.

3Instead of 28 – 36 months, subject to university’s approval. Applicants with a Polytechnic Diploma may be exempted from up to 12 units and can gain entry to Year 2 of the programme. Applicants with a Murdoch University-recognised Kaplan Diploma or a private Diploma may be exempted from up to 8 units and can also gain entry to Year 2 of the programme.
